Hello again,
By now everybody has heard of balloon boy - aka Falcon Heene (really, Falcon?) and his odd family. You can't blame the boy, he was just doing as he was told, right? To make up a story about climbing in the helium balloon in their back yard, then run to the attic and hide while everybody yells and screams to find the "lost child".
Ok, when I say nobody saw this coming I mean "everybody" saw this coming, right? Here's a guy, actually a family, that went on national TV reality show called Wife Swap, where they were obviously seeking attention like everybody else on that show.
They didn't stop there though, after that they contacted producers in several shows to try and get on other shows as well. Tom Forman, the CEO of Relativity Real and creator of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition said that he was contacted by the father Richard contacted him about creating a show where he and the family would go out chasing storms, like hurricane trackers I guess. With the kids in tow, of course! Yeah, that sounds safe. What could go wrong? Luckily Forman didn't bite, and nobody else did either if contacted.
So what happened that made people suspect this was a hoax? Check out the interview with Larry King where the kid Falcon talks about doing it for the "show", as if coached.
What do you think? Let me know...
So what do you think should happen to this clown for setting this up?? Well he should probably lose his kids for awhile, at least. He obviously values fame and fortune more than his family, and I think he has some serious mental issues as well. The wife is probably a part of it too, but the dad is the main culprit I'm sure. At the very least he should do some jail time, this kind of thing is way too common in this country - people seeking attention through any means even if it costs thousands of taxpayer dollars and puts family at risk.
