MMA champion Tito Ortiz was arrested on domestic assault charges today in Huntington Beach, at the home he shares with Jenna Jameson and their twin sons. Several hours after posting bail, Ortiz and his attorney accused Jameson of drug addiction and claimed Ortiz never struck her.
"Jenna Jameson has been fighting an ugly battle with an addiction to Oxycontin for well over a year, and this morning, she had a relapse," attorney Chip Matthews said. “We’re here because Tito was trying to help her. Tito Ortiz never laid a hand on Jenna.”
Ortiz wept openly at the hastily arranged news conference at an Italian restaurant in North Hollywood, saying the support of his family and Jameson’s father “just means the world to me.” “My parents have gone through an addiction, and I’m seeing a mirror of that,” Ortiz said. “I hold everything dear to my heart that Jenna will be OK.”
For the record, Tito denies beating Jenna as well. What's the real story? Stay tuned, I'm sure this will play out in the news.
More:
Ortiz is a former UFC light heavyweight champion whose celebrity has eclipsed his MMA accomplishments since he began a relationship in 2006 with Jameson, perhaps the world’s most famous adult film actress. Jameson, who crossed into the mainstream after publishing a popular autobiography in 2004, gave birth to the couple’s twin sons, Jesse and Journey, in March 2009.
Tito Ortiz was in front of the cameras late last night talking about his recent trip to jail and defending himself. The charges of Tito Ortiz domestic violence as well as Oxycontin was called into question in front of an eager media audience
According to the attorney of Tito Ortiz, Chip Matthews, the issue isn't with Tito, but with Jenna Jameson who allegedly is addicted to Oxycontin. The two at the press conference says that the former porn star has been battling with the pill addiction for over a year. Feeling the addiction needs to be public to defend the actions of Ortiz, as they say there was no domestic violence only a meltdown due to the discussion of the drugs..
There was also a short discussion on the concerns of what might happen in the future for the couple. Now the oddest thing has to be how the press conference ended. Instead of everyone asking a few additional questions, a reporter from Channel 7 news asked if the couple was planning to get back together. Ortiz instantly got visibly upset and immediately left the podium behind the curtain. On the tape you could hear him break into tears.
The situation with the Ortiz family now includes two young kids, drugs and a court hearing which will be addressing the alleged charges against Tito Ortiz. It definitely is a mess that hopefully can be worked out privately.

In another related story, Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Jaimee Grubbs - the one who was missing a tooth, was arrested again in West Hollywood.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Grubbs was busted for two offenses - there's a warrant out for her arrest for driving on a suspended license. And when she was stopped her license was still suspended. Bail for the outstanding warrant is $26,000. We don't know if they'll make her smile for the booking photo.

See part of the video of Jamie here:
So what do you think? I guess Tiger is all about having fun, since his marriage is nearly over. His wife Elan has left the country, and now he can do whatever he wants with whomever he wants, right? Think it will hurt his reputation any more? Who cares, is all I have to say. The guy is obviously going downhill now, after losing his first golf tournament since the big affair and fight with Elan became public knowledge. His career is pretty much over now, I suppose. Oh well. Easy come, easy go I guess!

OMG! Corey Haim Dies of a Drug Overdose? No way!
Corey Haim, the former teen actor who struggled with drug addiction during a career that fell far short of legendary status despite early reviews that praised his acting ability, died Wednesday morning. According to a Los Angeles County coroner's spokeswoman, an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
Haim was taken to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank after being found "unresponsive" in his home near Universal City/. He was 38 years old.
"It was an apparent overdose," Sgt. Frank Albarren of the Los Angeles Police Department's North Hollywood Station told reporters. "Unknown what type of medication."
People familiar with the investigation, speaking on condition of anonymity because the case was ongoing, told The Times that detectives recovered prescription drugs in the home. It did not appear that foul play or illegal drugs were involved, the sources said.
Ok, so here we go again...how many times do we have to hear about this - either a previous child star who hasn't had a hit in years, or a celebrity "starlet" who is known for nothing but being famous dying of a drug overdose. Wish I had a dollar for every one of them, then I could move to Hollywood too!
Corey Haim was in full teen-idol mode in 1988, swamped with letters from adoring young female fans and his face on the covers of teen magazines.
But it was acting that was foremost on the mind of the Canadian-born 16-year-old, whose growing list of credits included “Lucas” and the teenage vampire movie “The Lost Boys.”
Haim, observed a visiting Times writer, "actually believes he is the next James Dean."
"I know I can do it," Haim said. "Dean made only three movies, and he's such a legend. People think he's so brilliant. He was so raw.
"I just want to be known like [Dean] was known. I just want people to think that I'm really, really good."

Anybody guess who might be next? I'd love to hear any wild guesses, maybe we should start a "pool" or something, winner takes all!

Winter Olympic hockey game - Canada wins in overtime!
Believe it or not the overtime rules for hockey were actually brought into play today when the finals for the 2010 winThe hockey overtime rules helped Team Canada win their gold medal game today when Sidney Crosby was able to put the puck in the net past goalie Ryan Miller. In the sudden death rules, the first team to score a goal wins the game.
Team USA scored a goal to tie the score at 2 with just 25 seconds left. Then, Zach Parise slapped the puck past Roberto Luongo to send the game into overtime and bring into play the hockey overtime rules. ter Olympics went into overtime in the game between Canada and the USA. The hockey overtime rules were those that are used in the NHL playoffs, with a sudden death overtime.
The nonstop comparisons to 1980's U.S. gold medal team leading up to Sunday's game was a classic example of media pomp and hyperbole. It came from the same folks who knee-jerk compared the magnitude of Tiger Woods' already-forgotten apology from two weeks ago to historic "Where were you?" moments like the JFK assassination or the moon landing. Herb Brooks' Miracle on Ice squad was made up of collegiate amateurs. Everyone on the 2010 U.S. squad plays in the NHL, so the comparison was not a valid one.

Casey Johnson - heiress to the Johnson & Johnson fortune, has died
Another tragic young life snuffed out for no apparent reason, she died in L.A. New reports say the body was discovered this morning (Monday, January 4).
She was 30 years old, the daughter of Woody Johnson - owner of the New York Jets.
Johnson was arrested in November for grand theft - the alleged victim was a former girlfriend. She was arrested and taken to the Van Nuys jail and held on $20,000 bail.
So what was she famous for other than being an heiress to the Johnson & Johnson fortune? Johnson was reportedly engaged to Tila Tequila. According to the website TMZ, Tila says they were fighting last week and that Casey stayed at Tila's house on the 28th. Tila had tried contacting Casey on the 29th because Casey had left her dogs behind. Tila says Casey's phone has been shut off since the 29th and she was not able to make contact. She was apparently found dead on Monday after being dead for several days according to some sources.
At the age of 14, Johnson co-wrote a book with her father entitled Managing Your Child's Diets, due to the fact that she was diagnosed with diabetes at age 8. She has appeared as herself on the television shows The Fabulous Life of... and E! True Hollywood Story. In addition she was a popular Hollywood socialite known for making outrageous headlines.
Johnson openly declared her sexuality as a lesbian. One of her ex-girlfriends was Courtenay Semel (whom she dated on and off during 2008–2009 and who set Johnson's hair on fire in January of 2009, after a fight[4]). On November 30, 2009, Johnson was arrested for allegedly stealing jewelry, shoes, 600 pages of a legal document, clothing, and underwear from Jasmine Lennard, who was tipped off by Semel (whom she was seeing at the time). Johnson allegedly left a used vibrator and wet towel as a calling card.
On December 9, 2009, Johnson and Tila Tequila announced that they were engaged. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
